Common Applications

Certified Biodegradable Glue Slugs

Tecbond 214B glue slugs have been extensively tested and are certified to meet the following biodegradability standards for plastics:

These biodegradable glue slugs begin to break down when exposed to oxygen, UV light, and heat— naturally occurring conditions that initiate the degradation of the synthetic polymers. They are consumed by microorganisms and decompose into non-harmful residues without producing microplastics. They are also made with 45% bio-based, sustainably sourced raw materials. 

The adhesive will begin to degrade as soon as it is exposed to oxygen, UV light, and heat. To ensure optimal performance and longevity, store these biodegradable hot glue slugs in their original packaging, away from direct sunlight, and at temperatures below 86°F (30°C).
