Power Adhesives TEC Bond 248 Hot Melt Overview
Power Adhesives has formulated a hot melt specifically for Carpet Tack strips. Tackfix is a great alternative to nailing down carpet tack strips. This hot melt is fast setting, strong and has no problem adhering to almost any surface. It's perfect for metal, stone, brick, ceramic, wood, concrete and cement board.
Power Tackfix 248, a high performance acrylic adhesive, only needs is a glue gun to apply and requires no special tools.
Advantages of Hot Melt
The biggest advantages of using hot melt vs traditional nail and construction adhesive are time and ease of use. Hot melt goes on easily and cures quickly. This allows installers to begin with the carpet install in a matter of minutes opposed to waiting hours or more for a slow setting construction adhesive.
Power Adhesives TACFix 248 acrylic hot melt will bond ceramic, metal, wood, brick, concrete, plastics, tile, fiber cement board and other difficult to bond too surfaces. Acrylic hot melt sticks are commonly used for installing tack strips to concrete or ceramic floors.
This high temperature glue stick is different than traditional EVA formulations allowing it to have more flexibility, higher temperature resistance and a stronger overall bond.
