Power Adhesives TEC Bond 7718 Hot Melt Overview
Power Adhesives TEC Bond 7718 is a polyamide hot melt with unique qualities allowing it to be used across a number of industries. 7718 is foremost used as a knot filling adhesive. It offers excellent temperature resistance, bond strength and comes in a variety of colors so it can be matched to almost any color wood.
KNOT-TEC 7718 adhesive was designed for quick and easy repair of knot defects, deep scratches and other wood blemishes. This versatile hot melt adhesive can also be applied to laminate surfaces and comes in six colors to perfectly match or contrast with your materials.
TEC Bond 7718 for Electrical Potting
The temperature resistance and bond strength also lend themselves well to another unique application for TEC Bond 7718, hot melt potting. This polyamide can be used to pot electrical components and can often replace more expensive, slower setting adhesives like epoxies and urethanes.
Applying TEC Bond 7718
7718 is a high temperature hot melt which should be dispensed between 350 and 375 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend an adjustable temperature hot melt gun so you can adjust the viscosity and open time of the adhesive.
