Power Adhesives Tecbond 7718 Glue Sticks
Power Adhesives Tecbond 7718 is a polyamide hot melt with unique qualities allowing it to be used across several industries. The 7718 hot glue sticks are foremost used as a knot-filling adhesive. It offers excellent temperature resistance and bond strength.
The Tecbond 7718 adhesive was designed for quick and easy repair of knot defects, deep scratches, and other wood blemishes. It can also be applied to laminate surfaces and comes in six colors to perfectly match or contrast with your materials.
Tecbond 7718 Glue Sticks for Electrical Potting
The temperature resistance and bond strength also lend themselves well to another unique application for Tecbond 7718 — hot melt potting. This polyamide can be used to pot electrical components and can often replace more expensive, slower setting adhesives like epoxies and urethanes.
Applying Tecbond 7718
The Power Adhesives 7718 adhesive is a high-temperature hot melt that should be dispensed between 350 and 375 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend an adjustable temperature hot melt gun so you can adjust the viscosity and open time of the adhesive.
